The Game of Thrones Exhibition 2015 in London
The Official HBO Exhibition came to London in 2015 to the world-famous 02 arena in Greenwich. This event tours the world every year visiting multiple cities, giving fans the chance to view costumes and props from the show, as well as to mingle with fellow like minded fans and take part in interactive activities.
Each participant had an allocated timeslot with a recommended walkthrough time of around an hour, though in reality in order to fully experience the exhibition it would turn out to take longer than an hour, especially with the queues that built up as the day went on.
The most striking items on display were perhaps the costumes from the show, which have been seen up to close to believe the details involved and I can see why it takes weeks to make such items with the level of intricacy involved.
There were also a number of weapons on display from the show, the most striking of which were the dornish weapons of Oberyn Martell and his Sandsnake daughters.
There was a range of ecclectic items, ranging from masks to charred bodies to poisons to killer necklaces.
For the more adventure-orientated fan there was the opportunity to climb the wall in an interactive ride where you really felt exposed to the elements- certainly not recommended for those with any vertigo symptoms.
There was also the opportunity to get a photo taken with a white walker prop
There were also a number of banners dotted around the venue representing various houses:
Of course, no trip to Westeros would be complete without a photo on the Iron Throne :
